The UK electrical grid system continues to be a serious concern for those that cannot afford to lose just a second of continued business operations. For this project, FirePro was specified by the Mechanical Electrical engineering consultants, and there were no major technical issues to contend with. Working closely with one of the world's leading diesel generator and microgrid specialists, AVK-SEG, three heavy duty Kohler-SDMO diesel generators were installed to provide assurance of continued power supply for the entire site.
The co-ordination with other building services was very simple as FirePro generators are ceiling or wall mounted, meaning no expensive sacrificial footprint is required to house pressurised gas cylinders. The client was extremely satisfied with the arrangements for fire protection, and to date the system continues to provide both automatic and manual cover to the diesel generator enclosure.
