NDA Hotel Client - Roof HV/LV Switch Room

1.10.25

FirePro was selected and specified for the overhaul and renewal of this roof top HV/LV room at a five-star central London hotel.

This roof top HV/LV room presented numerous challenges in terms of logistics, equipment layout coordination and fire suppression system design. FirePro fire suppression is a safe alternate suitably LPCB certificated technology and does not require the same health and safety management considerations as pressurised gasses, in particular the pressure equipment regulations. This was only one of the many reasons for the client choosing FirePro.

The project was on a tight schedule for delivery, and the installer demonstrated speed of installation with rapid first and second fix electrical works, followed by commissioning, all of which was completed in less than 5 working days. Whilst pressurised cylinders may have been safely transported and installed at roof level, the ten year cylinder pressure test exchange and in the event of a system discharge, the renewal and replacement of any spent cylinders, would require significant manpower and coordination. FirePro is hand carried, and has a certificated 15 year life span.

To enter this room virtually, and walk around the installation scroll down and click on the arrow in the centre of the image, This will open the 3D virtual walk through, after which you can see that FirePro is all electrical, with no cylinders, pipes or over pressure venting. You can look or zoom into any part of the installation, and manoeuvre yourself by clicking the circles located on the floor. Each system component has a coloured circle. Click on the circle for specific information and associated product datasheets.
