The approvals cover two areas: how the products are designed and tested, and how they're manufactured. Together, they confirm FirePro's systems are built consistently to the standard that was tested and approved.
One certificate covers machinery space fire suppression under the standard used for larger commercial vessels, while a newly-issued certificate extends approval to small domestic vessels under 24 metres — opening the door for FirePro's technology to protect engine rooms on smaller boats as well as ships. Both are backed by a manufacturing quality certificate confirming FirePro's Limassol factory consistently produces units to the approved standard.
The certified range spans FirePro's full lineup, from the compact FP-12SE to the high-capacity FP-5700 series.
With design and manufacturing approval now in place across both the commercial and small-vessel routes, FirePro's aerosol systems can be fitted in machinery spaces on a broader range of UK-flagged vessels, from large commercial ships to domestic craft under 24 metres. Every certified product carries the UK Conformity Mark and comes with an official Declaration of Conformity.
