FirePro UK were proud winners of the Outstanding Product/Innovation award at the Fire Resilience Excellence Awards 2026. Judges were impressed with the real-world NHS case study submission in which a fire that destroyed a hospital sterilisation machine, and abruptly halted patient care services, FirePro - the world’s only LPCB-certified condensed aerosol fire suppression system - was engineered and installed across all three sterilisation machines, combining internal linear heat detection, automatic power isolation and integrated fire suppression, for a nominal outlay.
Seven months later, a similar malfunction occurred. This time, benefiting from its modular design and the absence of pressurised cylinders or water, the system reacted as the design intended. Instantly, machine power supply was shut off, airflow stopped, dampers closed, local doors automatically shut, fire and BMS systems were signalled and FirePro fire suppression released internally. Upon arrival, fire crews were greeted by no fire, no smoke damage and only minimal disruption. The installation of the FirePro fire suppression system is officially estimated by NHS to have saved the Trust around £250,000.
At an awards gala held on 29 April 2026 at the Hilton Metropole, Birmingham, this is the fourth fire industry award win for FirePro UK in six years.
