Continuing efficacy of high‑pressure cylinders, leak‑free pipework, ageing enclosure structures, available product refill infrastructure, suitably competent F-Gas & enclosure door fan test resource and environmental considerations, are just some of the challenges now faced by industry to keep an aged pressurised gas suppression system in good working order, ever ready to suppress fire. Despite best efforts, and correct maintenance, over time, fire suppression products such as FM‑200, or CO₂ may become increasingly unserviceable, costly, or commercially unviable as they age.
FirePro UK have released a white paper explaining considerations for this challenge and options to consider in maintaining end extended the life cycle of a fire suppression system, without detriment to cover or increase in operational costs. Read the FirePro UK white paper here.
The white paper is supported by this video in which our Managing Director, Tony Hanley, explains key considerations (based on his industry experience) prior to making any decision on the future of an obsolete or aged pressurised gas fire suppression system.
