Working with a leading lithium-ion battery transportation specialist, FirePro UK were tasked to prototype a solution for a mobile GRP trailer after a significant fire incident which incurred significant losses and disruption to the client's business. The client was very happy with our engineered solution that incorporated manual and automatic release of FirePro, together with safety cut outs, for which a selection of images are here.
The client was further assured that for this application, FirePro was indeed the right choice owing to its versatility and independent notified body testing demonstrating the effectiveness of FirePro with lithium-ion battery fires. The independent test report by Alba Rubens, Italy, is significant evidence of performance combatting off gassing and thermal runaway caused by battery malfunction.
