Large storage areas with high ceilings are difficult to protect using standard point type fire detectors. Furthermore the cost of servicing detectors that are difficult to access adds to the cost of ownership for the end user.
By using the Securiton range of aspirating smoke detectors these problems are greatly reduced as they are designed to give quick response in large open areas.
Fire control units may be locally installed at low level whilst sampling pipework may be installed to cover roof spans, meaning access to high levels for servicing is virtually a thing of the past.
